Britton Bears Excel at Area 6 and Fayette County Cross Country Championships

The Britton Bears Cross Country teams capped off an incredible season with standout performances at the Area 6 Championships, hosted by Frederick Douglass High School. The event featured more than 1,500 runners from 13 counties, making it one of the most competitive meets of the year. The Fayette County Middle School Championships, postponed earlier due to weather, were also held within the same meet—giving our Bears a chance to compete for both regional and district honors on the same day.

The hard work and dedication of our student-athletes paid off in a big way, as the team brought home another trophy for the case and celebrated 20 new personal records (PRs) in the 4K race.

  • Girls Team: 5th place out of 15 teams.

Congratulations to all our runners for representing Mary E. Britton Middle School with excellence, perseverance, and Bear Pride! 💚🐻💙
