Britton Bears Making a Difference!

Our Mary E. Britton Middle School volleyball team recently raised $500 for breast cancer awareness, with all funds supporting cancer care at Baptist Health Lexington. The money was collected through admissions at the team’s scrimmage and T-shirt sales—an incredible example of student leadership, compassion, and community service.

A huge thank-you to Ms. Jennifer Manley (Medical & Health Sciences teacher) and Coach Whitney Ritter for coordinating this effort and supporting our students as they presented the check to Baptist Health Lexington leadership on November 24.

This initiative reflects the heart of our school’s mission and vision—cultivating leaders prepared to thrive today and build a better tomorrow, strengthening students’ connection to the health and medical sciences pathway, and fostering meaningful civic engagement. Our Bears continue to show what it means to Serve with Purpose, uplift others, and take pride in making a positive impact.
