Welcome to Britton: 6th Grade Orientation Set for May 6

Mary E. Britton Middle School is excited to welcome the future Britton Class of 2029 to our Welcome to Britton: 6th Grade Orientation on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in the Mary E. Britton Cafeteria.

This event is designed for incoming sixth grade students and their parents and will provide families with an opportunity to begin preparing for the transition to middle school. During the evening, families will learn more about what daily life at Britton will look like, including what student schedules may be like, who teachers will be, and how students can navigate the building with confidence.

The orientation will also address many of the questions families often have as they prepare for sixth grade, including:

• Will my child get lost?
• How much homework should we expect?
• How do we get involved?
• What support is available if my child struggles?

We know the move to middle school is an exciting milestone, and our goal is to help students and families feel informed, supported, and ready for a strong start at Mary E. Britton. Families are encouraged to register using the QR code on the event flyer.
