MathCounts at Mary E. Britton Middle School challenges students to think critically, problem-solve creatively, and collaborate with peers through engaging, competition-based mathematics. Participants strengthen their mathematical reasoning, speed, and accuracy while tackling complex problems that go beyond the traditional classroom curriculum.
Students work individually and in teams to prepare for local and regional MathCounts competitions, developing perseverance, strategic thinking, and confidence in their abilities. The program encourages a growth mindset, emphasizing effort, practice, and teamwork as students refine their skills.
Open to students who enjoy mathematical challenges and puzzles, MathCounts provides an exciting opportunity to deepen mathematical understanding while representing Britton with pride through academic competition.
